How LiteLüvr Works
A plantation shutter by day. An architectural light source after dark. Here’s how the same panel does both.
The Short Answer
LiteLüvr® is a window-integrated lighting shutter system. Each 3.5″ plantation-style louver contains an LED array and a diffusion layer, so the shutter is a normal privacy treatment by day and becomes a soft, evenly lit ambient light source at the window after dark. Controls live on the shutter stile and in the LiteLüvr app.

Three layers. One calm, even glow.
Light
An LED array is engineered into each 3.5″ louver. Warm white (~3200K) or bright white (~4000K), your choice.
Diffusion
A diffusion layer erases hotspots at the source, giving you an even, shadow-free wash instead of a visible strip of LEDs.
Privacy
Full plantation-shutter function is retained. The panel tilts and closes the way a shutter should: privacy and light in one element.
Controls
One touch. Or one tap.
A discreet touch control lives on the shutter stile, the hinged side of each panel, so anyone can turn the light on and dim it without opening an app. When you want more, the LiteLüvr app takes over: control by panel, window, room, or whole home over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, with scenes, schedules, and sunrise / sunset modes.
Louver tilt only adjusts external daylight. The light itself is always controlled from the stile or the app.

Warm White · ~3200K
The incandescent warmth your eyes were built for. Beautiful in bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, and quiet evenings.
Bright White · ~4000K
A crisp, paper-white glow for kitchens, home offices, bathrooms, and contemporary rooms where you want the space to feel alert.
The recessed connection point at the window opening — the only visible detail before the shutter is set in place.
Installation
It installs like a shutter, because it is one.
LiteLüvr mounts to the window opening like a traditional plantation shutter. The connection is discreetly integrated into the opening, so once installed, all you see is the finished shutter. Your LiteLüvr dealer coordinates the details for a clean, beautifully integrated result from every angle.

The technical bits, briefly
How is LiteLüvr different from an LED strip in a shutter?
An LED strip is applied to a surface — it reads as a strip. LiteLüvr integrates the LEDs into the louver itself, behind a diffusion layer, so what you see is a soft glowing plane of light, not a line of dots. Every louver is a full light source.
Does it need special wiring?
No. Each panel runs on a short low-voltage cord that connects to a discreet receptacle integrated into the window opening — there’s no visible power supply at the window. Your dealer will confirm details for your specific project.
How is it dimmed?
Smoothly, from a whisper of light up to full output, per panel, window, room, or whole home — via the touch control on the shutter stile or the LiteLüvr app.
Does it get hot?
No. LiteLüvr uses low-voltage LEDs that stay cool to the touch. Safe near bedding, curtains, kids, and pets — and it won’t warm the room the way a halogen or incandescent fixture would.
How long do the LEDs last?
Rated for 50,000 hours — roughly 15+ years at typical daily use.
