Window-Integrated Lighting
Lighting has always come from above.
Until now.
LiteLüvr® is a window-integrated lighting shutter system that turns plantation-style shutter louvers into a soft, controllable ambient light source. By day, privacy. After dark, a warm vertical layer of light.
A New Category
Not a shutter. Not a fixture.
Something entirely new.
Most of the light in your home shines down on you: from the ceiling, from a lamp, from a fixture on the wall. LiteLüvr moves ambient light to a place rooms already understand: the window plane. It turns the window itself into a diffused, warm source of ambient light, one that sits at eye level rather than overhead.
A plantation shutter by day. An architectural glow after dark.

The Experience
Light that feels better to live with.
Because the light passes through a diffusion layer at the source, the entire panel reads as an even, glowing surface. No visible LEDs, no bright points, and shadows that fall softly instead of sharply because the source is broad and lateral rather than a single overhead point.
Mornings feel gentler. Evenings feel calmer. Most people have never seen light like this, which is exactly why it has to be seen.
How It Works
Three layers. One calm, even glow.
Light
An LED array built into each 3.5″ medical-grade polycarbonate louver.
Diffusion
A diffusion layer erases hotspots at the source, for an even, shadow-free wash.
Privacy
Full window-covering function is retained. Privacy and light in one element.

A Fourth Origin of Light
For a century, light has come from three places. We added a fourth.
Designers compose light in layers: overhead, task, and accent. Almost all of it originates from the ceiling or from fixtures placed in the room. LiteLüvr adds a new origin: a vertical, architectural source at the window plane. A new layer for the palette, not a replacement for any of the others.

Who It’s For
Made for the rooms you live in, and the rooms you design.

For Homeowners
A calmer, warmer home after sunset.
Get soft, shadow-free light without adding another lamp or fixture. The window that goes dark at sunset becomes the warmest part of the room: perfect for bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms, and anywhere you want atmosphere without clutter.

For Designers & Architects
A new layer for the lighting palette.
Move ambient light off the ceiling and into the architecture. LiteLüvr adds a controllable vertical plane most schemes have never had; fewer ceiling penetrations, calmer ceilings, and a category-defining move clients attribute to you. Complements task and accent light; doesn’t replace them.

For Hospitality & Trade
A signature moment for every guest room.
LiteLüvr is designed to give suites and guest rooms a memorable after-dark moment: privacy, warmth, and a quiet glow from the window itself. Scene-ready control, warm or bright to match the brand, and a moment guests remember, and photograph.

Common Questions
What people ask about LiteLüvr
What is LiteLüvr?
LiteLüvr® is a window-integrated lighting shutter system. Its plantation-style louvers are the light source — each one emits a soft, fully diffused glow — so the shutter works as a normal privacy treatment by day and becomes a warm architectural light at the window after dark.
How does it work?
Each louver has three layers: an LED array for light, a diffusion layer that erases hotspots at the source for an even glow, and a privacy layer that keeps full window-covering function. The result is soft, shadow-free ambient light coming from the window plane rather than the ceiling.
Does it replace my other lighting?
No. LiteLüvr adds an ambient layer at the window — it complements task and accent lighting rather than replacing them. Rooms that use it well still have reading lamps and task light where they’re needed.
Does it get hot?
No. LiteLüvr uses low-voltage LEDs that stay cool to the touch. It’s safe near bedding, curtains, kids, and pets — and it won’t warm the room the way an incandescent or halogen fixture would.
Can I use it in a bedroom?
Yes — it’s one of the most-loved rooms for LiteLüvr. Warm White at a low level gives the room a gentle presence at night without the harshness of overhead light, and it dims all the way down for sleep. Sunrise and sunset modes are built in.
Can I dim it?
Yes. LiteLüvr dims smoothly from a whisper of light up to full output, per panel, window, room, or whole home — using either the touch control on the shutter stile or the LiteLüvr app.
How is it controlled?
By a discreet touch control on the shutter stile, or by the LiteLüvr app over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi — by panel, window, room, or whole home, with sunrise and sunset modes. You can choose Warm White or Bright White to suit the room.
Does it work with smart-home systems?
LiteLüvr is controlled through its own app today, with scene, schedule, and whole-home control built in. Broader smart-home integrations are on the roadmap — ask your dealer about current compatibility for your project.
How energy efficient is LiteLüvr?
Very. LiteLüvr uses low-voltage LEDs — a fraction of the wattage of traditional overhead lighting for the same sense of ambient warmth. Because it replaces the “one more lamp” most rooms end up adding, it often reduces total lighting load in the space.
How is it installed?
Panels install like standard plantation shutters, and then one short cord per panel plugs in — with no visible power supply at the window. Your dealer coordinates the details for your project.
What sizes, colors, and finishes are available?
LiteLüvr comes in standard plantation-shutter proportions with 3.5″ louvers, in a curated palette of neutral finishes designed to disappear into premium interiors. Your dealer will walk you through the finish options that suit your windows and scheme.
How long do the LEDs last?
The LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours — roughly 15+ years at typical daily use. LiteLüvr is engineered to live with the room, not to be replaced with it.
Where can I see LiteLüvr in person?
The light really does have to be seen to be understood. Request a showing and we’ll arrange for you to experience LiteLüvr in person, either at a partner showroom or on a live project near you.
What does it cost?
Cost depends on your windows, your project, and how you’re specifying it. The best next step is to request a showing — we’ll walk through what it looks like for your space and talk specifics from there.
